Our Story

Jesse Lee Falls, born September 19th, 1978 in Ashland, Oregon, is a funk and soul guitar

player, singer, songwriter who now resides in Astoria, Oregon USA, since 2008.

Major influences like Joe Satriani and the Red Hot Chili Peppers at age 13 were a catalyst in

forming his original sound and writing style.

By nineteen Jesse had a new found inspiration through the music of Jimi Hendrix and the

funk groups of the seventies like James Brown, Tower of Power and Average White Band.

Jesse shifted his focus from the metal group he was playing in and started an original

funk group with bass player, Calen Uhlig, focusing on writing funk and soul music under the

band name “The Function.”

While in the Coast Guard in 2005 Jesse bought the recording equipment needed to put

out a home recording of original songs, this time going under his own name, Jesse Lee Falls.

Jesse and his wife Trish then started their own publishing company and record label.

Affiliating themselves with Cd Baby distribution; songs off of the home recordings were

picked up by Belgium and Connecticut Radio.

Jesse left the Coast Guard and started to tour Northern California with the Wingnut Adams

Blues Band playing Casinos and opening for national touring blues acts like Poppa Chubby,

Little Charlie and The Night Cats, Archie Lee Hooker, and Lydia Pense and Cold Blood .

Jesse has released a total of five albums to date. The most recent one, released in March 2024, “Caution: Funky Kids At Play”, is a full length funk/rock album that was produced  with new found music and business partner, Erin Tanski,  and producer/engineer, Justin Phelps, at The Hallowed Halls Studio in Portland, Or.
